I think this car is now sold to a chap who raced a 240Z in 70s roadsports, bought as a road car project not race car.

Yes, the new owner has been in contact with me today just before, and during, his viewing of the car in the Bristol area. He's now registered on here and I hope he might pop up in due course to introduce himself and the car
He was looking for a 70's FB for racing, but thinks this one is too rare to use for that purpose.
Posting up a pic for the record, before the ebay advert disappears!

Hope to hear from him here too. For HSCC 70s roadsports championship, you could in theory use any series RX7 shell, as long as the key parts used are to 70s spec. I have been considering using my S3 as a 70s roadsports racer, but I would need a drum brake rear axle etc. 70s Roadsports has a very strict rule set, so I would also have to use a nikki carb, open diff, no bridgeport, so realistically I will more likely race in CSCC future classics series, where rear discs, LSD, Bridgeport and Weber carb are all OK.

Black Elford still up for sale. Was £2500 now £1950 or offers.
Looks like it could be a good buy for a project or as a donor car if you could get it for £1500

I guess it needs a new engine, given the miles, lack of use and no detail about the engine running in the advert. Plus no guarantee the elford parts are working either. It's a big unknown, other than the cost ... which will be known as "alot".
Anyway Ian65 dont you need another project to counteract how clean Gus is?

Looks like someone put an e-fan on at some point, but no sign of it, unless its a pusher.
Full respray needed as well from the looks.
Great project for someone though, but I definitely don't have room in the drive for another car.

Here she is, loved and used regularly. We went to Bognor today, saw some rain unfortunately, but was a nice drive.
