Re: ReSpeed rack & pinion conversion
I am thinking about using a power steering rack, without power, cos it has higher ratio's generally.

Re: ReSpeed rack & pinion conversion
I have plans of using a Opel (vauxhall) Corsa C electrical power steering rack.
Have any of you tried that in a Rx7?

Re: ReSpeed rack & pinion conversion
Good Idea that, I think I would still prefer to go with a steering rack for the rally car, but for a road car it's perfect I think.

What I have heard is that Corsa´s steering rack is very good for that money. Easy to get and easy to install. Here they are very common to use in rallycross cars and so on. Also -02 Toyota Corolla´s steering rack is good.

Re: ReSpeed rack & pinion conversion
Chaps,
Just to get this one current again, I have been looking into all things rack and pinion for my FB rally car.
I found this :
http://www.flamingriver.com/index.php/p ... 005/FR1520
Which might mean that you could use the RE Speed kit with a Mustang RHD rack?
I'm not sure why they think this would be so difficult.
What thinks you all?
Not the way I am inclined to go as I need the rack behind the wheels for a number of reasons.
Cheers
DB

Re: ReSpeed rack & pinion conversion
Hey Everyone!
I was wondering if this Rack and pinion setup is available anywhere to buy?
I know RE-speed used to make these, but the site has been down and it doesn't seem like it'll ever come back.
