Anyone remember this car from a couple years back?
It was a real dog. Barely ran. Dude had no idea what Hayward gave him. Neither does the author of the article.

"party in the rear" lol

I might have to pull out of this one...my mate really wants to go in his Ford Capri, and won't get in without a stand pass...they have a minimum pitch size of 3 cars, so we'll probably all go together, and Karissa can take her 323F GT...but I will ask to put us next to each other...so I can be on both sides of the fence.
I hope the weather is better this year, I've booked the hotel room for Sat and Sun nights, so we don't have to get away early

Update email from RetroRides...

Retro Rides Gathering 2016 Club Update
We're full! And you are one of the lucky ones to get space at the show. We're currently in the process of printing up the club passes so expect them to be sent out in the next couple of weeks. We'd love it if people could encourage those that are joining them to get tickets in advance : http://retrorides.tictail.com/product/r ... day-ticket It helps us keep the queue moving and get everyone into the show field quicker. Also it is a saving of 33%, advance price is £10, gate price is £15.
We're really looking forward to seeing what you all bring this year, we've got some details of changes/improvements we're making below if you want to have a read. If not, we'll see you in a few weeks.
-Retro Rides Gathering Team
Field and Show Layout
With each running of The Gathering we've found things we'd like to change and hopefully improve. One of the things that has long vexed us is grass, this year we aim to have all the grass in the club area trimmed a bit more, making the display a lot nicer to look at.
We're also planning to have maps available, which should hopefully go out with the tickets when we start sending them in a week or so. We can give details of where to find food, traders, paddock, viewing, toilets, etc. we hope this will give a clearer idea where everything is at Shelsley Walsh.
This year we have a slightly smaller club field. It would be easy for us to keep expanding the club stands, squeezing more people in, making the show sprawl. However that isn't how we do things, so we are concentrating on getting what we've got right.
Weather, apparently our order for sunshine didn't go through last year (it has worked the previous eight!), but we got to find out that the venue can cope with extreme rain, the show field didn't become too boggy, we ran the track all day and we're glad be bought a stock of rain ponchos. Keep your fingers crossed for sun, things are always better when it is sunny.

Getting On The Hill
I'm sure more than a few people are already interested in getting on the hill. As it stands we're looking to pre-book the entire morning and afternoon session. This helps us ensure a smooth running of the show, keep the diversity of the action on the hill up and make sure that people that have missed out in previous years get their chance. We'll be announcing full details very soon, so tell your members/friends/people to keep an eye on : http://retrorides.proboards.com/board/5 ... hering2016 as that is where it will be announced first.
