Is it possible to swap a 1.6 MX5 diff into a S3 axle?
I have a cusco mx5 1.6 diff sitting, would be amazing if I could use it! I think its slightly smaller than a 1.8 mx5 diff tho?

The 1.6 diff is a definite no, sorry.
I did a bunch of research when I first got my Rx and came to the conclusion that the mx5 1.8 diff would go in the s3 axel, but I'm not sure any-ones actually tried it so it's still a bit of an unknown.

have a look on rx7.club some write ups on there, only problem is all the MX5 boys want the LSD too
so getting hold of one at the right price in the UK is hard i found it easier to wait out for a GSL-SE one from the US and i think it worked out cheaper too

A complete nugget with CWP will set you back at least £300 unless you get lucky (No, not you).

While 430 bucks is undeniably quite a bit of money, is it actually expensive for what it is, IYSWIM?
I've genuinely no idea how much an LSD should cost, but it seems like quite a precision-manufactured thing with plenty of hardening treatments and so on. It doesn't seem too steep to me... or have my price values been irreparably distorted by years of inflated FD part prices?
