If it is,rust is worse than what previous owner was describing, nearly concours,my ass!

ta stu..
if the outer panels are like that, I'd want it up on a ramp before I handed over my 2 and a half grand.
The floors and chassis rails usually go before the outer panels.
It's all very well the dealer waxing lyrical about it and putting up nice photos... it's what it's like in reality that counts.
I'd want a real minter for that sort of money in todays climate and NO RUST!
Also, no matter what ebay says about a bid being a legally binding contract, if I didn't like the look of a car I'd tell the seller bollocks and walk away...

The new owners been conned.

I'd say that car is worth no more than £1100 approx,i'd have walked away from that saying item not as described.

Think seller had 100% feedback rating, wonder how long that'll last?

In reality both those rear arches will need strippng back to get rid of the rust, they may even be holed after stripping back,i'd be fuming!

New owner should raise the car up & check the chassis out & lower sills, rear valence, petrol tank, everything,i think he's been sold a pup.

For Sale in Edinburgh...

Seller says...

One of the most notable cars of the 80’s, this is your challenge to a Porsche 911 from Maxda. Throughout the 80’s this was the cutting edge. But with no engine management systems or ABS or electronic assistance this car is easy to maintain as any other.

However, this car does have the assistance of the original Mazda Tom Walkinshaw Racing kit. It has the Elford turbo, the spoiler and side kit to match.

You can find all about it on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RX-7.

Everything works and It’s got the MOT from April 2011 and 5 months tax. Classic Car insurance costs me £130 which isn’t much for a car which will challenge modern day traffic.
