hardly any 1st gens for sale for months and months and now there seems to be loads coming up for sale.....

Here's another Elford turbo project car for sale..... a bit more of a challenge this time... might be a cheap way to get hold of an Elford setup for your own car though...

I don't know much about pre RX7 rotaries..... what does he mean Tool ' MAZDA 929 COUPE, Basically a RX4'
surely it's one or the other isn't it?

The 929 had a 1800 piston engine in it, all he has done here is replace the piston engine with a rotary one and call it a RX4 as they shared the same body.

It's a converted piston version. It's a 929. Basically the same means it's NOT a rotang.

Used to be owned by a guy called Simon who did most of the work. FB running gear. Not sure how he squeezed an FB axle under the back.

No, he swapped ALL the running gear. Converted the rear axle to leaves, etc.

He will have had to change quite a lot of stuff. Easy to do in NZ or Oz where you can get parts like crossmembers but I suspect this one has been bodged quite a bit.

It's near me so I might go check it out.

My Dad had a 929 back in the 70's and all I was saying was that the 929 had a piston engine and the RX4 a rotary one, and assumed he had used a 929 body, it still looks an abortion though .............
