The one thing about my RX-7 that I don't like is the Euro spec rear. It has always annoyed me. Earlier this year I imported a Jap spec bumper from Japan.

Image

That was put to the side until I could find the filler piece for the rear. Just before I sprung €300 on one, I did one last search on eBay, where I found an unused one from an scrap yard in the US. $80 delivered. Result.

Sprayed and fitted, massive difference for the better, in my opinion.

Gotta say I love how it looks now. The rear has gone from my least favourite part to probably my favourite!

The first Auto Heroes event took place on Saturday in Mondello Park, Ireland. I arrived with a mate and his MK1 Escort for the Show n' Shine area.

We got a bit bored then and decided to take the two of them out on the track for the afternoon. First time I've had it on a track, it was awesome 8-)

Speedhunters and The Low Life Blog have good write ups on the event.

Love your car, nice clean line and very much like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

A bit of a misnomer but I think we get the idea.

Car is looking great and nice to see it getting some track action too.
Both write ups were very interesting and looks like it will be an event that will grow into something awesome.

Cheers! I'm hoping this event continues to be a success, so I'll be able to get this along with my other Mazdas out on the track regularly enough!
