I have a 1985 GSL-SE that I am making into a Racecar TIEN suspension, Mazdaspeed 26B, the works. Here is what I have done thus far, Gutted and cleaned as well as painted the engine bay. All of the interior has been removed and put into storage. The cockpit has been scraped, sanded and painted, The front end is painted as well. What I am planning and continuing to buy piece by piece is firstly a 26B four rotor engine which I plan to build out of three 13B's "one for spare parts" and a 26B bolt kit from Mazdaspeed. Complete 26B wiring harness and intake systems as well as exhaust that exits from the bottom of the front fenders. GT Grant steering wheel, 10Point Roll Cage, 20Gallon Fuel cell, Resessed battery and radiator as well as recessing the oil cooler. TIEN 32Way adjustable coil overs with hardened sway bars and Polyurathane bushings. 17inX12in wheels with lo pro Federal Super Steel tires and a Stoptech disc Conversion kit. That is a small portion of my list this far. I have a question although of weather or not a 26B would fit into an FB RX-7 with the oil cooler, radiator, and battery being Recessed to the rear of the car "Aided by good ventilation of corse".

Wow Thank you Thomas I dont feel so alone with my 26B build. It appears that all is really needed is a wiring harness for the engine, a custom motor mount and i cant see the rest. Did you have to recess your radiator and oil cooler? I have attached a picture of my engine bay for you. How did you get an E-shaft for that monster engine?

Hi Dennis,
You misunderstood my answer. The engine is built by juerg from swiss.

The rotorshaft is selfmade i think.

Attention:Don´t know if it works with a lefthand drive car in germany and swiss there are right hand driven car´s

Yes I misunderstood, but it does seem to be more simple than i am thinking to get completed. You said you are in Germany? Would you happen to know a Mishler or two? That is my family.

Would putting foam into the skeleton or interior framework of the car be a good idea against road noise? The interior is bare metal right now. I am also thinking of making a fibreglass dash but only on the drivers side. Does anybody know of a program for calculating power to weight ratio and arrow dynamics?

Tossing around the idea of putting GT500 type operational scoops in place of the side rear windows to help keep the cabin cool sence the radiator will be in the back.. Open to any ideas. Another that has been finalized is a widebody with the spoiler starting at the front bottom of the doors and wrapping around like some of the stock fiberglass spoilers do. That way the spoiler acts as canards and a spoiler. Open to any opinions and will have the blueprint up for all to see soon.
