Hello Everyone

I've registered on here as I'm gathering as much info as I can on FBs, I think they are fantastic  .

I signed up to Mazda Rotary club and after reading through the FB section stumbled across a link to this forum, so here I am.

Currently I'm not in the position to buy an FB, lack of space on the driveway, as I have an old civic VTi that I need to sort out first - once that's sorted I can go on the FB hunt properly. I've book marked the "The latest 1st gen RX7 sightings..." thread as it's very useful.

I do like older cars, new ones are just too dull for me. I suppose for a daily drive they are acceptable, but not as project car (read as obsession).

Ideally I'd like a series 2, but from what I can gather, they are soooo thin on the ground now, it'll most likely be a series 3.

Other than the run of the mill cars, I've had a couple performance/sports cars.

MKII Scirrocco.
S13.
S14a.
Civic VTi
Mazda 6 MPS.

The rest aren't really worth mentioning.

When I was younger (mid 1980's) and saw an FB for the first time, I asked my mum if it was fast, she said "Yes" so that's when I decided I would one day own one.

So, time to get my finger out, fix the bloody Honda! and go find me an FB!

Hi Jim, Welcome

First indications now in the forums that prices for good FB's seem to be rising from junk status at long last.

So don't be too long.

Thanks Dave. I've been keeping an eye on the prices and the increase in them particularly. Obviously i'd like to get one as solid as possible, but if its a full restoration project, then so be it. Save another from the scrapheap.

Welcome Jim,
I wish I had the good sense to do a bit of research before I buy a car, I usually buy it and find out the hard way
Reasonable project cars are out there, go on, save a seven !

I've tried to read up on most cars, still always seem to be some nasty surprises.

where abouts in Staff Moorlands are you? I've only recently moved from Leek, but still go down occasionaly.

I've only ever driven through Cheadle - doubt I will again. Must have had a lucky escape as something has scarred you both very deeply V(o
