Hello everyone on the forum. This is my RX-7 that i´ve owned for some years now. I have done only minor restoration on car so it´s not show quality but getting better little by little. When I bought car it haven´t been used in 5 years and previous owner had made some poor modifications to it (for example cone filter attached with duct tape..) Fortunately nothing was completely broken.

car as i bought it

After some washing & polishing

Yellow DRL:s removed, more polishing

Car had tacky dragon badges all over it as I bought it, removed at this pic

Changed exhaust to better looking one

Interior had early 2000´s red tuning parts all over it. At moment only gear knob remains haven´t found original or something that would suit car

Changed wheels & tyres. Wheels are from my father´s old Saab 99. tires are 185 wide in front and 205 in back to add little bit of that 80´s look

side shot

rear
Hope you like my car and hope photos show as they should

Hi and welcome, your photos aren't displaying though - can you put them on photobucket or similar?

Hello and welome along. Great to have another supporter from Finland.
I'm interested to know how you got the saab wheels to fit your RX-7. I assume they are the four stud version so that would be for the 99 and early 900. As far as I'm aware, the offset on those is ET 45. No issue on the rear but very close for the front as stock mazda wheel is ET40.
I assume that's why you can't get a 205 on the front? Or maybe you are using spacers?
Get on to photobucket and you'll be able to post up photos from there.

Dave.

Wow. Seriously liking that. You guys were lucky in getting the US spec S3 with the updated dash.
Very in love with those wheels too ... wanting some now.... probably easier to find in your part of the world than over here? They kinda look like minilites.
Sunrise Red is still the best color

Thank you KiwiDave. I´m not sure if its same as US spec, but it has 12a motor, ventilated rear brake discs and LSD which I believe isn´t equipped on earlier RX-7`s. You can find those wheels for peanuts in Finland and I would say its even easier to find from Sweden. I think they are replicas of Minilites, those were very popular among Saab 99´s, Volvo Amazon´s for example in 70´s and 80´s. These cars are very rare in here so i´m not sure how they are equipped usually.

Yours has the US spec center panel with the heating controls and also the later FB/FC crossover dashboard. These were only fitted to LHD models. You are very fortunate to get a factory LSD (very rare thing now) which was never offered for UK cars.
Have you taken any engine bay photos?

Here is some more photos, one with engine too

at this point there were previous owners stereo cables all over

after good polishing

on a warm autumn day

Car on its previous owners yard, in condition it was. Behind you can see my ex-daily car
I have fitted car NGK spark plugs, Moog idler arm replaced due to worn bushing, exhaust changed (its custom made 3,5-2,5 piping with two mufflers, no catalyzators or any emission parts) intake changed to standard one. On the outside new wheels and tires and a lot of polishing on a paint

Also have "JDM yellow" bulbs fitted which didn´t look so great. My next goal with car is to tidy up interior and to install gauges on radio hole

Earlier RX7s were fitted with them, but they run a smaller axle and are 24 spline so not interchangeable.
The S2 LSD also retrofits into all 10A and 12A fitted cars all the way back to the R100.
See my for sale thread.
Nice car by the way
