Hi All
I'm from Auckland and my current 1978 Series 1 RX7 is my 6th rotary. I've had:
- Two RX2s, both NZ assembled.
One RX3.
Two series one RX7s.
One series 6 RX7.
I got my current car as a rolling body in 1994 and installed a low mileage factory 12a Turbo motor in 1996. I have driven it 3km since I've had it. Since then the car has been garaged. At the time I garaged it the only thing it needed was a new front windscreen. Now to get it back on the road its going to need a lot of work done to replace rotten hoses, rusty brakes, the normal sort of stuff and the windscreen.

- Low number ex Japan

- Looks good for its age

- Hasn't been run since 2007, will it start?

As soon as I can I'll put a whole lot of stuff in the projects section. Looking forward to sharing the project with you.

Thanks for the welcome.
Thomas the manifold and fan were orange, the same colour as the spark plug lead you can see which is original. The manifold had a crackle powder coat finish. It didn't clean up so I painted the fan and manifold to match the car.
The engine is the original factory build with 43,000 km on it. It uses the original factory ecu to run it.

Yeah the seats are from a series 3 ( 1st gen 3rd model) , wish I could have afforded the back seat as well. They are hard to get in good condition now.
BTW This is now on the projects page under
Red RX7 Resurrection

pity the shipping is so expensive from UK to NZ... I've got a rear seat set to match those front seats that I was going to skip
