That's out by an alarming margin Mick. Who set it up? Surely Tim would not have left it like that?

Standard NA setup is Leading 0 deg ATDC Trailing 20 deg ATDC

Remember to disconnect the vac advance lines when you are checking the timing too.

yep thats how i got it back but thats not the most alarming bit as it was running lean & cutting out past 4.5k rpm the day i got it back & he said it was all good to go, it was lucky i had him fit a aem wide band on it so i could see that it was running lean other wise it would have gone ka boom by now but its still not 100% as ive had to buy £100 worth of jets & air correctors, a new fuel injection fuel pump £108, fpr £55, a bigger braided return line £100 about 7m of it & enough to replace all the other 30yr old fuel lines as they were fcuked & some of it was leaking in the engine bay! the down pipe had a hole in the waste gate screamer pipe that plums back into the exhaust, so after i had the exhaust welded & a screamer pipe fitted i could here the wastegate was open on idle so i took it off & found it was missing the valve seal ring so there was a 4mm gap around the valve! so basicly ive had to spend a lot more money trying to sort it out & its still on going.
