Hello fellow rotary nuts.
My name is Einar. I have a 92mod rx7 fd that i have been building on for the last ten years, and is now finaly almost finished. I also have a 80 mod SA22c with a street port 12a
i used it as a daily for four years before the rust got so bad i had to stop driving it. now after a couple of years in storage it's time to start the restoration.
The plan is to fix all the rust of course, and build a street port 20b with higcomp rotors, custom intake and exhaust.
build a new 4 link rear suspension and replicate the REspeed rack and pinion kit that was available some years ago. i have a friend that has one, so he lets me borrow his so i can copy it.
I have obtained the 80 imsa wing and the 79 imsa front dam, Just need to get a hold of the 79 imsa/group c flares. So i tougth this was a good place to get some tips in the building prosses.
I also have a 91 mod mx5 NA with a NB 1,8 motor and drivline that i use as my daily and trackday toy.

Cheers

Shifti

Hi Thomas and thank you. :)
I am planing to use some RS Watanabe's type r, i think the group c flares widen the car with 100mm each side.
I have to measure them when i get them on the car, after i get hold of them.
RS Watanabe has three sizes that sould be usable, they are:
10x15 et-25
10,5x15 et-32
11x15 et-38

I think i will get them i the bronze RS Watanabe color. And the car will be painted black.
The build wil take at least two years because of all the money it will cost. but i can always start a building tread, but it will be slow and long. :)

10J is pretty big. 9J is the widest I've seen without flares or inner guard mods/tub. Offset has to be just right though.

I don't have any pictures to show you of the sa22c just yet Lucky.
But i will start a build tread when i start working on the car, i have some pictures of my rx7 fd and my mx5 na if you want to see, non of them are like mazda made them originaly.. hehe.

I could never get 15x12 et -51 to fit under the 79imsa/group c flares Spirit-r.
But it would have been an amazing look with a dish that deep on some rs watanabees..

And Tool.
I am of course going for flares. ;) Just need to get a hold of them.
I am trying to get a hold of RE Body kits in new zealand, i know they make them. if any of you know of somebody else who can get the group c flares please let me know.
