Thermostat gasket paper ?

I need to make a gasket when I replace the thermostat, I'm not sure what thickness of gasket paper to use, anyone got an idea ?

I'm not sure of the thickness but you can still get these from Mazda

It doesn't really matter. 1-1.5mm as they're fairly thick.
Or just buy one.

Thanks for the replies. I thing it's easier to make one than going to Mazda as I'm sure they would have to order them.

£3.99.. that's dear
mine's always made from cornflake paper and wax it with grease/ never had problem for 20+ years with it...
