Hi i introduced myself the other day http://rx7fb.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3391 so i won't bore you with all that again, Hmm project R now it could be rotary but after getting the car on the ramp it could be rust then again at my age by the time i finish it might be retirement,

So the idea was to get a doer upper that maybe needed some engine work that way i had an excuse to have a play with a rotary engine, After a bit of searching i dropped lucky after a mate spotted one parked in a drive and another mate while out on the road carded the house where it was parked and missing 3 or 4 on the bay of E Jim (the chap who owned it) sent a message to my mate in reply to the card, so we drove over one night and i bought the one pictured below,

It turned out to have had some work done in the past but had stood for a number of years Jim informed me that the engine had had a rebuild and had covered very few miles since and it does sound sweet (so no messing with the engine) i am now on the hunt for spares plus all four callipers are binding so new one's seal kits or is there an upgrade folk use, on to the spark plugs i ordered a new set but when i removed the old ones the bottom plug was a champion N-180B and the and the top one the same as i ordered BR8ET, is there a reason for the different plugs or just simply two different makes,, anyhow a few pics of how she is before i start.

I use BR8ET for both my leading and trailing plugs and have for years, never an issue.
Brake caliper rebuild seal kits are only about 3 quid a wheel from Rockauto but by the time you've had them shipped they are around 25-30 quid a set landed...... still much cheaper than you will find in the UK though..... BigRed want about £30 per axle set.
If you are looking to place an order with Rockauto ask on the forum first as someone might want something as well and you can share the shipping.... particularly useful with light stuff like seal kits and gaskets

As Ian said, NGK BR8ET will be fine. The Champion plugs are very old school items. They date back to the early '70s and were recommended by mazda for well over a decade. I found a box of them on Ebay so I still run them but, then again, I find it difficult to let go of the past

That's a Janspeed exhaust system that you have on there. Quite a popular period upgrade that dispenses with the air pump and thermal reactor. Also liberates a few more horsepowers (which is nice) :)

Haha i wish,, They are customers cars the Buick for engine work and the Quattro in for new sills and floors, still haven't decided which route to take yet, i may just get her road ready and for the summer then go to town at the back end, but time is tight as i have a few sprints coming up in my other car and pit crew at a the last round of the Rally winter stages at Snett so it may be a few weeks before it's on the road

'55-ish Special/Super? Nice 8-) That Escort looks good too

You got some welding hours ahead of you with the Rex there  Always sad to see how well these little cars hide their true rot. What looks like a little rust run turns into half the floor cut out :o
