New owner in the West Midlands saying hi...

Post by Wires »

Hey Everyone, I've been lurking on the forums for a while now, reading up on as much as I could and closely following the 'spotted' thread to see what cars were coming up.

I finally took the plunge and went, for what I think, is one of the best around. I'm sure you'll all recognise it!

I'll be slowly perfecting what is already a great car into my ultimate FB and I'm already thankful for the all excellent knowledge on here. Hopefully I'll make some FB mates along the way as well!

Cheers

Welcome Chris. It's good to see that the car has a new home ... it just needs to get out more now. Is it still going to be kept in a style to which it has become accustomed, heated, dehumidified garage and all?

KiwiDave - yup, it's going straight into the garage... much to the disappointment of the S2000!

Hobba - thanks, she's a looker alright :D

Thanks Pete, she seems to drive pretty well, sadly only had the motorway journey back so far, so hopefully the weather will stay nice. There's a couple of things I may tweak going forward in terms of handling, but I like to get to know a car first before I change anything, otherwise where's your benchmark.

Tim the previous owner has done a fantastic job though, I haven't personally driven a stock one to compare, but he says it's a million times better than it originally was. I think the Turbo II steering and front end has a lot to do with that.

It's got a larger turbo on than it's original that the ecu hasn't been mapped to yet, so there is some potential to be unlocked for sure, although it's still pretty quick. Once you get it into boost it just wants to keep going.

The amount of spare parts that came with it is mind boggling, one of every interior switch, spare sun roof, cluster, lights... the list goes on.

So yeah, very happy monkey!
