I put in a offer on the Carbs & it was accepted :o They arrived in a "used" (or Pre-Owned) condition as things are now described

The air filter was US but I have used the frame to make a temp until I can find some Pre-Owned Chrome ones ;) .

This is the Cute little inlet manifold:-

This is the Home made Temp Filter:-

Made some angle attachments to take the OMP pipes:-

I fitted it to the spare engine so I can fit the ancillaries:-

I have made a Heat Shield that sits below the Float Chambers & OMP feeds to deflect the heat from below.

It is amazing how they cleaned up with a bit of polish

I have ordered rebuild kits, once done I am probably going to try out over the winter.

Nice. I like something a bit different.
Will be interesting to see how it goes.

this is awesome Pete.... these were always a well regarded upgrade back in the early 80's... surprising how few have survived.

I'm very interested to find out how the car runs with them on..... are you going to take the rats nest off as well? It's not going to do anything with the stock inlet and Nikki gone. Good call on the heat shield too.... SU's are very sensitive to heat soak.

I will see what difference it makes, I always said I would keep it stock
Perhaps I should find another to restore  lacking a engine :P

I was tempted by these Pete purely out of curiosity. They have cleaned up well.
Don't worry about being non-standard, its only bolt on stuff that can be returned to original if you want.
Im sure I read figures in the region of 150bhp with this conversion sya
Keep us posted :)

Nor do I Jess  But I have had many cars in the past with SUs & they have always been easy to maintain/adjust/repair so here goes.
They were good enough for the E Type. They will be even shinier after they have been rebuilt :o
