New Rotary seat for my shed

So, a friend (Gary) on the RX-8 OC offered up two leather RX-8 front seats for FREE last year as he had no room to store them. I said yes please and as he was fairly local he dropped them off with his son, on the agreement they could look at the KIMI collection :D Gary has owned an RX-8 and currently has an FC. He and his son both love all Mazda rotaries!

I had a pedestal seat I was about to throw out as the cheap leather seat fabric had cracked and the gas lift no longer worked. So, a new gas unit on-line, delivered for less than a tenner, a few bits of scrap timber and board, plus screws/bolts from the shed and voila, a new rotary chair for the shed :D

It's the driver's seat with electric seat adjustment and a heater. I have a spare, quite beefy, sealed Lead-Acid 12 volt battery from a defunct a home alarm unit so next plan is to wire that up to adjust the seat (just for the hell of it) and, if it's got enough capacity, see if it will run the heater too ;)

Not bad for less than a tenner :)

A Series 2 wheel found itself in shot too ;)

You haven't got time for sitting down
I spy the insert from your sandblasting cabinet ;)

Thought I might as well be comfortable when I get the sandblaster connected and running :D

Impressive! Bit of an upgrade from the normal mechanics stool but hey, you have standards ;)
