Quick starter motor question

Post by richrx » Sun Aug 19, 2018 9:33 am

Hi,

My strter is sticking so looking for a replacement as I have more faith in that than me stripping and repairing one yay

I know the manual N/A's are interchangeable, can anyone confirm from the following EBay advert if this is a starter that would fit into the 12a ok?

The seller doesn't know any details about it's origin h:

In stock at RockAuto. 12a / manual trans. Shipped for around £80 depending on which one you choose. Count the teeth on your gear just to double check. Should be 11

Managed to get one from rxmotors...

For future reference the s3 starter motor part number is m3t36081 and it has 11 teeth.

I pulled my starter off and on this occasion it was unservicable. But if anyone locally could have repaired I would have went with them.

Good link for future ref.
