New to the RX-7 FB forum with a familiar car

Post by Ian.M » Thu Aug 01, 2019 5:32 pm

Hi everyone.

Figured I had better introduce myself here before putting up a new project thread. I am Ian, the new owner of Malcolm's (casey) RX-7 better known as Kimi2 (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2989). I had helped him to get the car back on the road four years ago, so when the opportunity came up to buy the car I just couldn't say no.

I have had an RX-8 for 10 years so I'm not entirely new to rotaries, but I know there is plenty to learn about these older beasts.

I'll put up a new thread in the project section for my ownership of Kimi2, and meanwhile here are some photos of my fleet (past and present):

Hi Ian,

welcome to the forum h:
These are pretty basic cars compared to FC's, FD's and RX8's but they have their own charm because of their simplicity and, as you know from helping Malcolm put KIMI2 back on the road, they are easy to work on.
There's a great deal of experience of these cars documented on the forum as well as a good few owners who've been around SA's and FB's for years and are always happy to help with advice. Whatever problem you encounter with your car, you can bet one of us will already have dealt with it! :D

Hope you enjoy our little club 0-0
