Morning,

New to the forum, I know a few people here from another rotary forum. So hello to you guys ((casey, re5) met Ian.m briefly at beaulieu, hope you didn't get too many dents in your roof from the stuff falling out the tree?)

Don't own an FB (yet)

I'm building a renesis powered lotus Elan, but won't harp on about that in here.

Long story short, family health probs, change of circumstances, inheriting gf's car for commuting, possibly looking to trade in my legacy 2.0 spec b and get my hands on an FB with a view to building something special once the lotus is finished.

Not looking for a minter as they should be kept stock(ish) but anything that needs some tlc.

J

The scooby is a great car, for 15 years old, it doesn't look dated. Gear change is a bit agricultural but I think that goes with the territory. When I come out the company car scheme, I desperately wanted a go faster estate, and it ticks that box.

Past 12 months or so I'm seeing more and more FB's in race trim. I like the lines of old Skool cars, having gone to beaulieu I realised how compact they are.

If I'm lucky enough to land one, I promise to do it justice, I won't stick a lotus engine in it lol.

However I did come across a company in nz on the web, that does e shafts to make an 18A engine!

My gears are whizzing a million miles an hour

Cheers, yes me too

A basket case would work, nothing much worries me in terms of work.

Casey will vouch for how much I take on.

If I flog a few motorbikes too, I won't feel guilty about leaving them on the back burner again lol
