Kenlowe Fans.... ( and other electric fan stuff )

A bit of interesting information...

Kenlowe no longer make or supply fan kits for aftermarket applications.... this from their website...

Kenlowe only supply fans to vehicle manufacturers/engineering companies and field replacements for existing specialist applications. We no longer make or supply thermo electric fan packages for retrofit on individual cars for the automotive aftermarket.

Any suggestions for the next best? I'm after a 16" fan, I already have the controller so just need the fan..... Spal maybe?, other makes that are any good?
Straight blades or curved? What's best?

In the 80ties i tested the oem fan out of the bmw 323 i. The e-fan was working with two different speed options. In the high mode you can feel the air flow on the rear of the Rx7 . You need a tough batterie and thick wires. I personally like the continue airflow of the visco fan in the engine room.
The fan works on the exactly same position like the visco fan.

I've heard the Davies Craig fans are pretty respectable.

To be honest the twin fans I used on my e-fan conversion seem to be working very nicely. Direct onto the radiator with no shroud.

thanks for the replies and suggestions gents. I've been running the MR2 twin fan setup for years in my Elford Turbo and it's great, I was after something a bit simpler and more discreet for Gus though.

Definitely go for Spal. They are probably the biggest company in the world for this stuff

A single 16" will cool best. The UK doesn't really get hot enough to need a shroud - but it will be more efficient if designed properly aye.

Davies Craig make nice controller units also! If not controller by the ECU ;)
