Hi,

Stubled across Rexanne on retrorides the other week and followed the trail here, I must say I really like the cozy feeling here, compared to a few other rotary forums...

I've been an FB owner for the last 7 years, it started with a silver S2 which I enjoyed for a summer before repairs started piling up and time and lack of workspace ground my RX7 riding to a halt. fast forward a to last summer when I decided to upgrade to a black S2 in better shape (sold the silver one to a friend, also with little time and workspace...) and drove it way to few times this summer before it started boiling on me when I was putting it into the garage for the winter.

So in 7 years I've driven my two S2 less that most of you do in a few weeks...

I've made and scrapped many cool plans for rebuilding the silver including a T2 sub frame and engine swap , symmetric 4-link rear axle from either a Volvo or a GM 8.8.
Porting and megasquirting the 12A, even putting a blow-through carb-turbo solution it with IC or why not supercharge it..

Reality bites and with a house in constant need of more repairs the plan for this year is basically new tires, fixing the radiator and helping my friend get the silver into a usable state so we can start enjoying our cars.

Two pictures from when I bought the black one (with my trustworthy friend as a camera man and a co-pilot)

And a lousy shot of the silver it it's new resting place

Hiya, and welcome along.

I like that two-tone paint on your donor car, that's funky. Is that a stock colourscheme? Nice collection :)

Where abouts in Sweden are you, I lived in Finspång near Norrköping but am currently in London. However I still work there so I hope to move back after I complete my PhD.
Good luck with your cars and projects

Yeah the two-tone was one of the standard S3 colour schemes in sweden (i think). Most of the S3 in sweden are two-tone.

I live in Nyköping which is the next town east of Norrköping along the E4.

Hello and welcome,
Loving the silver RX7! But then I am biased.

Sweden is another country Ian can add to the list of countries included in rx7fb.com's quest for global domination.

Hope you can get them back on the road soon and start enjoying them.

The silver one also has the rotor wheels, they were the standard wheels for S2 in Sweden.

They are pretty easy to find here, especially since everyone is swapping in S3 drive-lines into their S2 and getting rid of the S2 stuff and the rotor rims....

Welcome to the RX7fb forum, great to have another owner of a black 1st gen on here. It's always interesting to see cars belonging to non UK market cars..... many have goodies on them that we didn't get in the UK, like those rotor wheels.
If you get chance, please start a thread in the ' RX7 rides & projects' section so that we all can keep up with your work on your cars. We like to think that we're a pretty friendly bunch on here and all help each other so any help you need, just ask.... you will probably be able to help us out too!

cheers,
Ian
