I have concluded as some have said a 16 inch fan will fit nicely in the RX7, keeping the original shroud in place too for increased efficiency.
That said I may have got the original coupling working with a little work off the car, 20 years sat seized it I think. But not sure I trust it.
I will always wire in an over ride switch on an electric, just in case airflow is desired or the sensor packs up.
What sensors have people found work best on the RX?
An adjustable one or a fixed one, if a fixed one has anybody concluded in the UK the optimum temperature to cut on and off?
We have an adjustable one on another car but being honest once the best position for it is found it is not needed!

I used a Davies Craig digital fan controller. They're really good and you can control exactly when it turns the fan(s) on! I have mine come on at about 90-92 degrees I think.

Fixed is fine. It should come on just above the normal running temp. Think it’s an 88deg sat so around 90. You don’t really want or need the fan running if you have sufficient airflow over the rad.
