Hi all, not been on for a while owing to the birth of my second son in January and since his arrival it has made me realise that I'm am just not going to have the time to work on my white FB. I took ownership of YOI 283, a red series 2 back in October that requires minimal work i.e a new clutch so I desperately need to move on the white one to make room in the garage for the new purchase. I won't lie and am realistic in what I may get for the white one as from what I can tell needs most bushes replacing and there is rust sprouting in several places including above the drivers door on the roof and on a couple of wheel arches although this is not too bad. I was in the process of rebuilding the rear calipers and they were seized. One has been completed although not back on the car and the other one came to a stand still as the thread in the rear of the piston shattered when trying to free it so now requires a new one. I have owned the car since 2010 having purchased it from an auto electrician by the name of Jon who is a memeber MRC site. He informed me that he had the carb rebuilt, serviced it also carrying out a bit of electrical work on it and also that the previous owning had it resprayed at which point the rust was treated for, however as stated it is starting to come back in a few places. It has approx 146,000 miles with little history and was told by Codge that at some point it was in Scotland. It is currently SORN and has no MOT. It has a glass sunroof and is generally in good nick for it's age. It will probably be going on e-bay as it has to go but thought I would mention it I here first should anyone wish to come and have a look.
£350??????????
Ian can you tell me how to add photos as I have several and am no expert.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,
This is a first time post after seeing this, is the car still still for sale?
If so would it be possible to get it back on the road and does it start first time?
Cheers,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
welcome to the forum.
I think this car sold on ebay during the week but the buyer had zero feedback so I don't know if the deal went through ok.
No doubt Paul will pop up to tell you if he's still got it.
Ian

Hi Patrick,
As Ian stated it did sell on Ebay last week but due to a few reasons which I won't go into I declined to sell it to the winning bidder and it has since been sold to Jon (JBerg on the forum), so sorry it's now sold but thanks for the enquiry and good luck in your hunt for one.
Cheers
Paul

Thanks for the info Paul,
I'm looking around for a good project to work on for a few months but I'm in no rush so I'll keep an eye out online. Good luck to the buyer, the car look like it has some great points!
