TWR spoilers and bodykits

Post by ian65 »

I've noticed how some TWR bumpers and spoilers have TWR embossed into them and others don't and yet other wise they look the same. Anyone know why that is..... they must all be made by / for TWR surely.........
If the unembossed ones were copies by someone else, wouldn't they have to change the design to avoid all the legal issues?
Anyone got any thoughts on it?

Only ever seen the embossed ones.

Maybe the emboss has been lost if they've been repaired after damage?
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......

Has anyone successfully removed a TWR front? I'm sure it's not as simple as simply unbolting the bumper irons.

Does anyone know how the front kit attaches to the bumper?

Mine has has received a tap on the front left while parked. There's nothing that looks bent in behind so it appears that the whole assembly has shifted on the bumper so that it no longer is flush with the front edge of the wheel arch. This now limits the tire clearance when turning. It's not a big deal with the OEM wheels but anything wider and /or larger diameter is a big issue.

So I'd rather try adjusting it's position on the bumper rather than removing the whole thing. And I just know that screws and bolts are gonna break cos that's how these things go

Any tips, tricks, suggestions welcome.

I've timed the question rather well then Keith th:

If you could get some pics, that would be awesome. I'm hoping that I can loosen the fixings to the bumper then move the whole assembly forward. A few screws and bolts need removing from the guard and wheel arch to allow movement.

Maybe it is actually easier to remove the whole thing, bumper irons and all. I just don't know yet.

Some Pics TWR vs KÜWE front. I can see two fixing holes more on the TWR.(last picture) Hope you can get an idea watching these pics Dave. And Yes you have to remove the whole assembly.

Hello, I am looking for a TWR or KÜWE front bumper for my 1982 FB RX7. If anyone has one and is willing to sell it to me I would be very grateful :). I also have and Elford turbo front bumper (in good condition) and would consider swapping it for a TWR or KÜWE front bumper.
