Hi Guys. I am having a bad week....
Oil cooler is leaking (S2 - under the radiator....)
Difficult to tell where from, but the whole thing looks manky so I was thinking of one of these:

Any better ideas?
And any suggestions how easiest to fasten it in, since the metal/rubber brackets that hang it from the radiator have fallen apart....

I'd be more inclined to fit one of these.....

it's a proven rotary oil cooler, easy to mount up by hanging it off the round front beam in front of the radiator with some exhaust U-bolts and will then give the option of putting in a larger s3 radiator in the future as the cooler won't be underneath the rad.
You'd need to get some longer lines made up though.

have to agree with Ian there - ive done away with the beehive and gone with the FC oil cooler with some nice -10 AN braide speedflow lines and havent had an issue..
With doing the U bolt install like above the oil cooler is upside down i believe also but still works effectivly.

I am using FC lines in mine and they reach OK - This is a 13b though, but they should be the same thread as 12a...

I think you'll find the stock cooler comes with a thermostatic bypass built in so the oil gets to temperature first. Go with the FC unit - two U bolts and a foot or so of 4mm flat bar and job done.

1st gen air cooled oil coolers are mega money new and all the 2nd hand ones are shagged.
Tools cooler off the turbo2 is the way to go.... if it'll handle the oil temps on a turbo2, it'll sort an Elford no problem.
