Here's one chaps,
My 1982 Elford Turbo, has been in storage for the last 7 years now, the photo was taken before we went to work overseas, so she does not look quite as clean and shiny now but is still in good condition. I am getting her on the road for the summer and hope to make Brooklands later in the month.
In the meantime I am planning to work my way through replacement of all running gear before she has an engine and turbo rebuild and respray.
Having had one RX stolen, I am reluctant to post the reg no, but I will let David know for his listings.

Hiya mate... welcome to the forum. Hope you don't mind but I've copied your original post the the '1st gen gallery' section as it'll make it easier for others to find..... your original post is still in the Elford section too.
That's a nice looking s2 you have there..... and we love the Elfords on here...
Most of us have bought 1st gen parts recently so if you need a reliable supplier, ask away.... someone will be able to point you in the right direction.
Glad to have you on board.
cheers,
Ian

Damon,
Good luck in finding a front spoiler, it seems they are like rocking horse droppings !
I wonder if it is worth seeing how much a set of moulds would cost to get made up and have a few made, could be worth investigating, depends on the demand I guess?

most people hang onto the Elford front spoiler if they've got one... I can only remember 2 coming up for sale off the car within the last 3 years.

Spotted this Elford at the Brands Hatch "Go Japan!" event yesterday. I went back a couple of times to see if Derek was around, but no joy

. Sorry not to get to speak to you.
A lovely car, very clean and tidy
As far as I could see, it was the only RX-7 1st Gen at the event. I was on the RX-8 OC stand, so took my RX-8 which needed a shake down run after some recent work (all good).
I've got more pics, but they show the reg plate so I'll respect Derek's wishes not to reveal it.

Hi Malcolm,
Sorry, not me ! I've not taken the Elford out for a long tim, what with finishing the rally car build, moving house and bloody Covid-19, it's stayed in storage.
Mines an S2 though with the 13 inch sonic style wheels.
Hope you are all keeping well, I've not been on the forum for quite a while !
