New Member Looking For An Old Car

Post by Torslanda »

Hi there. Just found this forum while looking for a nostalgic image of my '86 12A in Tender Blue.

I was parted from her in September 1990 after my business imploded.

The registration still exists and I wondered if it might belong to anyone on here . . .

Does anyone know the whereabouts of C52 WRE

luv'n'stuff

Hi John,
welcome to the 1st gen forum.
I see that your old car has been unlicensed since 01.01.2008 but it hasn't been notified to DVLA as scrapped so it may still be out there somewhere.
Dave ( Codge ) may have some info on it in his database..... I'm sure he'll let you know.

cheers,
Ian

Hi John, Sorry to say I haven't noted WRE anywhere before.

I've got 572 Registrations, about half still 'runners' or 'SORN' and the other half 'scrap' or 'probably scrap'.
C52 WRE isn't amongst them......well it is now, since a couple of minutes ago I've got 573 registrations.

Lady luck being what she is, keep logging in on this Forum, might turn up on here stranger things have happened.

Hi D.
There is the location list that I sent out last year, (with the Silver Bullet well and truly on it).

Here's a link to it.https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8jAGJa ... edit?pli=1

I've just sent a new location list to Ian, he has it on a Sticky and will no doubt update it soon.

I'd like to shove out all the background data for every car; this is becoming a massive store of information, with registrations, locations, car details, previous owners etc, etc.
I don't want to be seen as ultra possessive of all this data, but I just can't release more than the colour and very rough location data for each car; it just would breach every data protection act going. Plus a lot of information is given to me only on the understanding I will not shout out "This car is here", and that sort of thing.

If anyone (say a previous owner) wanted something specific I would do my damnedest to make contact with the present owner to see if I could put people in touch.
But if someone don't want to be visible on the net, then fair enough, I have to respect that.

I don't know is that's what you wanted, but I hope the location list is interesting on it's own.

Dave.
