oil pre-mix ratio

Post by Marc S »

Hi all,

Sorry for the really stupid question...I am looking to remove the OMP and run pre-mix only - I have been running a 400:1 mix in the tank (give or take) up until now, but I have noticed that the oil level hasn't really dropped in the sump, so I assume the OMP isn't working??? I am not sure how much should it use, but I'd guess at more than it has... :?:

Once I have removed the OMP, what pre-mix ratio should I use?

Oil level doesn't seem to move spectacularly on Gus either, but never has from new. (another Captain Slow benefit).

I've always ran Motul 800 which is synthetic and hae always used 100ml per 10L of fuel and have never had any issues with either turbo or NA motors

Plugs still fairly clean also and not clogged up

Thanks guys, OMP removed and blanked off yesterday, and I guessed at what was left in the tank, and topped up the 2 stroke oil to make it 100:1, or a tad over :)
