When it's running does it sound tractorish and like it has a misfire?

swap your leading coil for your trailing coil.... if the leading goes down, you will get these symptoms.... it'll run ok ish on the leading only but it'll run dog rough on just the trailing.

What's wrong with the carb?

I've got some but you can reuse the old ones if you're gentle.

I think its sucking air in, when i took the carb apart the other day I damaged the gasket, got a suspicion it might be that causing it, also when you lift the carb off completely it sits on a metal plate with 2 holes, it looks like there should be a gasket there to!
