My car has a similar issue, having be resprayed sometime in 1990s'. I think that a full professional respray using modern paint is the only solution for the fastidious owner. The expense though. ugh.

Hi Paul, I had a series 3 rx7 for years and used it as my daily driver, the steering is very heavy, there is very little room in the back seats (even for kids) and although I used to squeeze a BMX in the back with the seats down, it was a struggle. An old 12a really should be warmed up and cooled do...

I’m on my 3rd series 3 and all of them did it a bit. The only one that didn’t was my first 7, a series 2 that I had 25 years ago, I’ve never known why. I always just change gears and live with it. Any explanation would be welcome though.

I saw that white series 2 in late 2018 and bid £4500 but unfortunately missed out. The former owner sent me loads of photos and I must say it had been fastidiously restored. Maybe it will turn up on the forum.
