Ian the metering pump sounds interesting and may be where ive been losing oil, Put the old girl off the road now ,she runs out of tax end of this month, and if i get some time Im gunna start work on her when i can allocate some time and space, I think its fair to say that I wont be putting her back ...

:o as the title suggest, coolant light came on, friday night, sat morning, took cap off to top up with water, radiator full of sludge, went round to resvoir bottle, full of sludge! Not overheating at all, just bit smokey the last weekk, for all intents and purposes cars been fine or so when starting...

strange it was there the other day, I havent deleted it!
baiscally when you lift the carb off there must be a gasket, also the when you take the carb apart there is a gasket

where can i get gaskets for the carb? What's wrong with the carb? I've got some but you can reuse the old ones if you're gentle. I think its sucking air in, when i took the carb apart the other day I damaged the gasket, got a suspicion it might be that causing it, also when you lift the carb off co...

When it's running does it sound tractorish and like it has a misfire? How old are the plugs? Yup pretty much!
