Tim at RX Motors sold it for restoration ( rather than break it for parts) as it was so rare and then some complete nobhead from Dorset bought it to banger race it. I think it got crushed along with another s1 once he'd trashed them both....

Think they're the same ebay pics?
It was at HIP Auctions, Launceston.
B246 EGE is back on eBay @ £99 and ends in a day.
It's near me (nearer Lucky) if anyone needs a once over...
Actually, it's nearer my mum but she doesn't know much about cars, she bought an MGB If anyone wants me to have a look I can try to get over but I'm on nights from the weekend so the odds don't favour it.
EDIT: auction finishes tomorrow, that's that idea knackered then. I reckon it'll be back, though
Can we save it?? I would love to but I already have a wreck taking up space. People will think I am bonkers if I turn up with another one, though on the flip side - I would have prefered to buy this one being not burnt and so close!
I'd buy it myself if it was closer to me...... gotta be loads of useful bits, panels etc on there for a bloke restoring a silver series 3 with a wine interior!
