Pictures are good!
We get the idea, lol. Hope that FC bonnet came from a Convertible so it's light alloy rather than a coupe where they're made of lead and depleted uranium

My opinion was the optmized engine cooling shroud on the rear. The engine is totally chromed. The effect is a bad surface cooling. Fresh air from the airscoop press down the heat coming up from the race header. To get this funktion you need the same bonnet material ( made of lead and depleted uranium ) to bring the different bonnet together.
Only the 180PS Horsepowered TurboII have a steel bonnet I think. Don´t know about a alloy Rx7 FB bonnet.
The price you payed is more wheigt. We talk about few kg.
If you look on damaged engine the probleme is allways the rear rotor engineside.

Bloody hell Thomas you make everything look so easy. Do you have a friend in the restoration trade? or are you a restorer yourself? Either way you give us all a level to reach for!
