it's here Stu.... tempted? I am but I must stick to the plan and just fettle the Elford.... it's hard to resist though.... that'd be lovely with a 13bt in it!

i see people saying to put a 13b into an fb. is the 12a not very quick, or is it just down to more power?
i reckon an fb is as quick as my mx3 which is a 1.5L 115 bhp, with the lighter weight would the 13b n/a
really motor?

Hey, so here's the story-my wife and kids were staying in Bournemouth with one of her old school friends and she has a trampoline. My eldest boy who helped a lot on the 13bt conversion was giving it large in the trampo and spied next doors open garage door. He's goes to his mum "there's two rx7's in that garage" and the wife says "phone your dad,it's not really my bag" (or words to that effect). Anyway, he phones me and says when I go pick them up we've gotta go round there which we do. Turns out they are owned by an elderly dude who's had them for 15 years and they've been SORN'd for 10. Here's some pics(with his permission)......

The white one isn't an Elford, it's just wearing the spoiler, they are both 100% original, NO rot at all and the blue one started first time. The white one has no carb so couldn't be fired up.

what a great find.... we all love a 'barn find' story don't we? Your lads started his RX7 spotting days in some style Tim!
I like the white car..... I'm a sucker for a white 1st gen.
Did the owner have any idea when it's likely to hit the road again?

I think he's hoping in the next year as the garage is to be demolished so he can build a bungalow in his garden. He is gonna build another garage though so don't panic the FB's will still be dry. He's gonna need some help sourcing bits though so I'll be his connection to the FB community to get him going-lovely bloke.

tell him if he ever wanted one of them to go to a good home i'm his man.
it is some find, very well done to your son to spot them whilst in mid air lol.

they look spotless, he must love 1st gens to keep them so wrapped up.
yeah i agree ian, i think the fb looks stunning in white with a red interior, i'm still a bit miffed
the one i went to see didn't work out. if only i could get another as tidy and in n.ireland :(

they're nice in that blue too, been sitting a while with the dust. but the man has found a good family
of fb fans to help him out even if he wants to move them on we're the right people to look after them.
