This might be a silly question.. But im wondering what oil filters people are using? Im not sure which im going to need for my series 3 :oops: .

i normally go for a ebay special as i change them every 3k anyway

Haha i dont think id be too keen on ebay specials! Is that geniune mazda ian? Or other decent makes too? Got any part numbers?

Mazda part number is B6Y1 14302 9A. I believe it is used on other mazda models so should be OK at most dealers.

Don't forget to ask for a new aluminium sump plug washer if you're changing oil.

Same oil filter for all rotaries from Mazda is fine.

They are small though, and old schoolers will tell you the bigger aftermarket ones are better. I use aftermarket for day to day on my TD, and Mazda for my SDs. Mazda isn't expensive for a filter.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......
