well after working 7 days as week for the last 10 weeks and the fb has been so so close to being out on the road today was the day!!!

So after putting 15L of fuel in it I took it to KwikFit for a quick wheel alignment - quiet funny as the guys had no clue at all what it was they said shit shes noisy!!!

So after that had a small water leak from a clamp and off we took cautiously and ended up wracking up 60miles in an hrs driving whilst trying to bed in the brand new FC brakes.. The braking isn't the best ( Rears locking under hard braking) but am hoping its just needing more driving and use to bed in properly as look at the discs fronts still look semi rusty whilst the rear were clean as a whistle.. the car feeling good headed home to see what small things to fix for a later day and gave it a bath for the first time in over 6 yrs!!

list of things to look at is

* rear Racingbeat sway bar fitment as when it was up in the air at KwikFit its evident its bottoming out and not doing what is should be doing..
* adding window trims
* Fixing exhaust as its extremely loud with a 3" on the 13b..
* Bed in brakes and if still not good investigate servo or a bias valve.
* lower the front and rear more

It needs way more power :) Although the AFRs on the 48IDA @ 8000rpm are spot on :)

Here is a few pics of it out and about.

That said I am extremely happy with how it went today and hopefully these small changes can be done in order for a few cruises this summer or whats left of it..

Nice one Damon,
that looks very nice..... it's been a long old haul putting it on the road so you must be well pleased to finally hit the street in it.... fair play for sticking with it.

Yeh cheers guys - it's been hard old slug trying to get it finished off with 2 little
Kids and laying on dirt and work :(

I don't think this 6 port will last long but mind you it turned and started to fall over just over 8500 ;)

Does anyone else have any of the racing beat rear sway bar by any chance.. Mine seems to be bottoming out on the watts link and the rear pumpkin of the diff :(

A lot of training with engine remove ,engine assembly, so arms of steel doesn´t have steering problem with the 205/55/16 rubber up front. Only the daughter of my immediate neighbor doesn´t like the oily smell of the exhaust and allways the "brap brap brap" if I warm up the 12A up for testing an other setup. :roll:
