I agree with you Nik, it is worth every penny, the chances of finding another one are remote .....what i meant was ten grand is ten grand, that's a lot of dough whatever you're spending it on.
I suppose in the world of ludicrous new car prices, it isn't that much... I'd rather buy this RX7 than say a new Peugeot 208 which is the same money.

At Beaulieu Autojumble last year I saw a Renault 5 GT Turbo that had apparently had a nut-and-bolt resto... up for sale at £39,000! Now, clearly that's a ridiculous sum of money for any Renault (there were coachbuilt Bentleys for sale in the same paddock cheaper than that) but it does at least imply that the "classic" car market is finally creeping forward from the traditional and rather staid grounds it used to occupy, and more "modern" machinery is becoming recognised as rare and valuable. Admittedly in the case of R5GTTs it's mostly due to most of them bursting like overripe fruit, but one day soon people will be looking over their shoulders and thinking "Damn, where the hell did all the RX-7s go?" and we'll all suddenly own appreciating classics 8-)

I like the comment about getting the air con fixed! A previous S3 (first S3 after an S2) fooled me and the missus with the air con button. We kept pressing and pressing and nothing happened.

It's fooled someone else as well......

oilpressure on idling looks good, idling is a little bit to high. Working alternator. Sounds like a nice car with good engine.

I do know of a white 'C' plate S3 in North Shropshire. That's not far. Not those numbers in reg though.
The owner has joined here but not posted as far as I know.
