Sadly, the green RX7 in Irvine (on Gumtree a few weeks ago) was too far gone to save. 75K miles, owned by RX7OC member in the 90's (I remember it from Goodwood events, it spent the 1990s around London RX7OC sticker was still on the glass). It had a full service history from Mazda / Rotecnics and was really well cared for, for a long time. Unfortunately, it seems that it was parked up on a lawn around 2003 and the rust just started work from the bottom up. All the usual places and all the panels rusted out too - the only decent panel was the bonnet, which surprisingly had virtually no rust. Fortunately, my garage is now full of salvaged parts. The bonnet remains in Irvine, as I was unable to transport it, so if anybody wants to go and pick it up it is there for the taking, but only for a week or so. PM me for location.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the info on RGS.

It's in my notes as a 'Probable Scrapper'. Do I make the call 'Definitely Scrapped' yet?

here's a blue series 2, well half of one.
atleast the fuel economy would be good with the weight reduction.

doesn't look too bad in the photos apart from the missing panels..... but it's probably rotten as a pear underneath....
and as for the delusional " Seems a shame to weigh it in, so bidding starts at £500 (the engine has to be worth that on it's own)" ...... never in a million years
Good spot though. th:

well i didn't comment on the £500 starting price and the engine being worth it as knew it would get a laugh.
pity though as i always liked the blue in the s2, it wouldn't be hard to pick up a set of wings, bonnet (hood), doors and front bumper
but its theunderneath that you just don't know about. lots of bits in the back seat. its like a treasure trove lol.
if someone was nearby then there might be something useful for spares, or offer about £150 for the engine/gearbox.

its a crime to see an fb left like this though.

How's your hunt for an FB going spoddy? Any potential candidates? Maybe start a thread and post up what you're looking for and that can turn into the build thread when you have it?

You planning on keeping both the mx3 and rx8 or is one of those going and the FB taking its place?
