Where is the best place to buy replacement ball joints? I don't want to have to change the complete arms.
I've seen some for sale on eBay but they are 100 quid a piece!? :-/

I think I'll be spending a lot of money on that website!
I need new bearings, brakes, track rod ends, boot struts etc!
Thanks for the share!

Re: Ball joints
they are dirt cheap and you get great service but for single items the shipping costs can add up..... it's best to order a bundle of parts at the same time or see if anyone else on the forum wants anything and combine the parcel then share the shipping costs.... the other thing is try to buy stuff from the same warehouse ( they ship from different locations) as this makes things loads cheaper. Rockauto lead the way really for 1st gen parts.... just goes to show how we get ripped off in this country by parts suppliers.
A useful tip I was given when changing ball joints is to get them pressed in and then put a dab of weld between the balljoint and the control arm. They're only pressed in and although they are a mega-tight fit, they are manufactured by different factories all over the world and there could be a difference in tolerances so basically, a balljoint from one factory might be tight as **** whereas a balljoint made somewhere else might be a touch loose..... you don't want to take the chance of one popping out when you're driving at speed or cornering hard. A bit of weld will give you piece of mind.
