that's bad news Keith..... I would also say that most of the stuff of value is probably missing from that car so sales of parts may be hard to come by. The glass roof is worth a few quid but not a fortune.... it depends how badly somebody want one.
About 3-4 years ago, a trader tried to drive the prices up to £300, a couple sold for around the £250 mark but then prices dropped back to around £175. The last 3 that have sold that I know of have sold for £50, £60 and £80 respectively. The best idea is to put it on ebay and it will find it's own level..... if 2 people really want one, you might get lucky and get a high sale price.

i would agree with checking into getting your money back via paypal if it was not what was advertised.
all you can do really and see what happens. after that it's a case of breaking the car and the moon roof might reach
a good price like ian says, never know as they are rare.

good luck with the other car, looks nice.

Its a shame people lie about stuff they are selling, well worth trying to get your money back.
Of course what you should have done is joined the forum before you bought it and then I could of had a look at it for you as it was 10 mins down the road from me

Welcome aboard Keith and how disappointing is that on your project car, it seems your head is full of adventure and opportunites to develop a 'pigs ear' into a 'silk purse'. As has been previously said this forum is not simply for purists, the forum is for anybody with ambition, imagination, enthusiasm, pride and *alls - yes *alls because sometimes these dream machines push us to the limit but hey we still love them. What we like most is to be noticed, for being different, extremists, flambouyant, loud and at times traditionists so no worries there, you'll fit the mould just like we have. Just because you've dipped you toe into the water and found it too cold this time, hang on in as there are a number of good project cars out there waiting for the correct owner - YOU, so bite the bullet and get another one while you're feeling good about them.

With his asking prices I shouldn't have thought he managed to sell anything

There's a breaker called Pete Markin in Nottingham area a year or two back. He broke a red car but he was mega expensive. Might not have sold bonnet?

I am a bit dissapointed that he lied but thats the problem with buying from photos its a risk, sometimes just gotta roll the dice and see if you come out a winner, my MX3 I bought for £90 as a non runnner and came out a winner with that.

It was a risk, its time to move on and a cut my losses so i will do some work to get it as best as possible
I am thinking get the engine running and then possibly just sand the whole thing down and prime it in parts if it needs it with rattlers, fill the cracks etc and possibly MOT it as its not that bad underneath but then I ave to get the dials back in and fix the seats down
Then a days work and I should be able to get a profit back on it as people prefer it looking like somthing has been done

Will attack it this weekend and see from there th:

here is a picture of my MX3 thats even been featured on the adrian flux website plus other events and even a calender for 2012 in Italy lol

glad mine is back on the road, i missed her. love the paint job.

good luck with the fb, if you get the body sorted out and the engine running, then it'll be a good starting point.
fingers crossed everything will go well. g-l
