The pic from another Elford you knew - was this a German spec car ?
I´ve sneaked it back cause i saw the leading coil must be red. I tell you spending a lot of time under the bonnet will bring you a lot of knowledge!! 8-)

No German but a British spec car  viewtopic.php?f=21&t=79&start=40

The thought had crossed my mind but with all their regulations on the importation of timber it 'wood' probably have to be steamed then dipped in some anti-pollutant - I might jst frame it for future memorabilia.

In the meantime I thought I'd fit the proper power pack

When I bought this there was amissing Elford Centre cap from one of the wheels but I have a few spare ones. So cleaned one up and then fitted a new centre motif from the source Ian had found - 0-0 Ian

Can you spot which is the newey ?

You're right there Thomas - it was only by being under the bonnet that I noticed there was a bolt missing .....

Johnny's car comes to the rescue again and isn't it a gorgeous example too !

It is as simple as that but thought I'd keep the 3 others as original even though I have a full set of new motifs.
What I can say is the quality of these new ones is exceptional and they are really worth the expense, packaging and delivery was really good too so I've no hesitation in recommending the supplier

What I need now is one of thoseblack plastic triangular things from the rear of the 'quarter window' -

n/s Trim-Quarter Window (Black Dragon Part No. 59-388)

Does anybody have one for sale (preferrably new but hey beggars can't be chosers)

This is where it is missing from ......

...... to match the o/s window ....
