Greetings!
Former 1979 RX-7 owner here. Sold my car a number of years ago and now sorry I had done it. Looking to buy another and make it my project to restore it and pass it on to my son!
Thanks for having me aboard!

Hi Norm, welcome to the forum
Got any photos of your old 1st gen...... we're photo junkies on here where 1st gens are concerned.
What model are you going to look out for now, early series 1 or GSL or one the GSL-SE's ?........ I hear that clean GSL-SE models are becoming hard to find now.
cheers,
Ian

Hi Norm - a huge WELCOME to the forum fella.
You are in a good location to pick up some great dry state editions so looking forward to those much needed and esssential photographs - go on, make us all be green with envy
Il'll be just like putting on an old pair of slippers when you find your 'dream car'.

Thanks everyone! Sadly No pics of my first '79 I had.. I owned that car when I really didn't appreciate what I had. Here is then one I just bought. She's a little rough. Needs an engine, paint job, and most of the rubber parts need to be changed. The car sat outside for quite a while. I hope I have the willpower and money
to keep this restoration going. 1979 parts are getting harder to find. I will post more as I start to dig in.

Sweet, welcome aboard. No sunroof (bonus) and looks straight. Not seen an S1 over here with the wine coloured interior.

Thanks! I do like the fact it doesn't have a sunroof. It needs a lot of work. The paint is not the original color. I think it was more of a copper color to start. I would like to paint it a metallic blue.

Right cool, yeah the S1 had a unique bronze colour that they didn't carry through to S2 and 3. Can't remember it's official name offhand......
There was a few sweet colours in S1 that were not continued.
Still, makes them even more unique, eh?
