Re: 1985 Series 3 RX-7 - Red TWR
looking great..... that's a very good buy for a grand with 12 months ticket. It's easy to forget that the youngest of these cars is now 26 years old and the oldest 31 years old so a few marks and bubbles in the paint are inevitable unless you manage to drop on one of the very very rare excellent cars still left.... but then a £1000 wouldn't buy it.
You'd need 4 or 5 grand at least before the owners would even talk to you and most probably wouldn't sell at any price.
A good usable 1st gen with full mot for £1000 is good value.... not many mot'd cars coming on the market for under this price.

As Ian said i think you've done well.
To get the paint to really shine,i t-cut,then wax, comes up like a mirror, not even a tar spot left![mind you i'm a bit anal about those sort of things]
Ian had a red twr kitted fb & there was a very nice red triple rotor twr fb.
Seen cars fetch £2.5k in no where near as good nick as yours.

Right fellas.. this is absoloutly gutting.. due to some unforseen circumstances and after some serious thought.. the car must go.. i have mulled it over and discussed it and im better off selling this car for now and when im in a position to buy again go for a series 1 if possible or something very very special.. and pay the premium.. i really have got a deep soft spot for this car now.. but right now its a shame she has become a victim along with a few other of my cars.. the clio and evo must go too.
This is just something im putting out there to the members on here for now.. if anyone is interested in it pm me. I am not after any premiums on her just want back what i've spent which i believe was a bargain... if not then ill advertise her on ebay/trader to see if it can go.

that's a shame but you'll get your money back I'd imagine.... the car is now in a more central and accessible location so may attract a buyer...
put it in the for sale section on the forum because this goes out on the twitter feed plus the search engines pick up the posts on the forum...
Most of the guys on here already have an fb and aren't looking for another 1 but you never know...
( come on Ronnie, Derry into B'ham for £9.99 on Ryanair and drive it home!)

hi
i did really like this car, however i am up to my blinking eyes in work and cannot afford the time to go see her.
i don't live in derry lol and its a good drive to the airport, etc. plus is the car taxed and legal on the road?
i would have to see if i could arrange someone to go look and bring home as i would take her at the price you bought it.
but it all depends on what i can arrange with a friend.
mate if you can pm me some pics of underneath and under the rear seat. i'd like to see the advisories you got if you wouldn't mind.
cheers
ronnie

Panhard rod? All the SA and FB run a watts link - I think that's the sway bar in the pic.TOOL wrote:I've got a couple of spare gearboxes if you want one. Looks pretty clean to me. Do they run a full length Pangaea rod on the S3. I think my JDM S3 has a different set up. Hmmmmmm
This car looks cool - bargain price too I reckon.

Hi Fizz,
Fantastic looking car, have you had any luck selling it yet?
