alignment on my std S3 !
just went for an alignment today on & I was told all they could do was adjust the front toe in/out r they right ? ps. I have std shocks! cheers mick

Yeh, I can't think what else could be aligned on a standard S3.
Things like camber are only adjustable with upgraded suspension and the rear axle is fixed in position, no rear wheel toe in/out steering system like the FC.
Well worth tracking up the front wheels though if your tyre wear is severe or handling is a bit off.

Caster and camber can be manipulated slightly by rotating the strut tops.

hi i had my S3 alignment done a month ago but on the old wheels 4x 16x7 et 25 & 205/40/16 front 225/40/16 rears & it was spot on but i have now changed to 225/40/16 x 9j et 0 wheels all round & it seems to have changed & wanders all over the rd is this normal??? cheers mick

wider wheels/tyres, especially on the front, will cause your car to tram line and follow ruts and grooves in the road a lot more. My Jaguar runs 255's and tramlines like crazy.
Bigger wheels/tyres will also show up any weaknesses in you front suspension, particularly your balljoints and control arm bushes..... are you still running the original rubber bushes or has the car been polybushed? If not, polybush it, the difference on my series 3 was amazing, it transformed the handling.

its been fully poly bushed ive even changed both inner & outer tie rod ends only thing left is the ball joints! cheers
