Just joined

Post by Cfenner »

Hello all, just joined from San Antonio Texas. I have a 82 GLS that I am actively turning into my version of a four wheeled Café racer. I’ve always built bikes along with my cars so this FB will be the natural extension of that. Basically stripping it of everything not related to performance, wide tires, blister style flares, suspension, header, intake and exhaust. I’ve had an FC in the past, and my two sons have had FCs as well while number one son has his second that he is working to get back on the road.
We’re a family of Mazda’s after the current RX’s, I have an 08 Speed3, Ex drives a CX7 (my parting gift to her, lol), second daughter has a 2 and oldest son has a 2014 3 (second son is trying to save for an FD)

Thanks for having me here Christopher Robin

Hiya, and welcome in! Sounds like quite a project you're into there. Like Dibs says, pics would be cool. As an ex-biker, I never mind seeing stuff about cool bikes, too ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome... Alright here are a couple of pictures from the day I bought/saved her last Sunday (please be gentle). As a bit of an explanation friend and I have a joke club (“it’s not a gang, it’s a club” “No it’s not a club it’s a lounge”) that pays homage to our propensity to dig bikes and cars out from under years of neglect and oak trees. Here is an attachment of our “logo” as well

Whoops, managed to miss the pics before, sorry for the late reply! Some properly cool Mad Max-style bikes there. I love a big old skool air-cooled Jap four, that's what my first entry to biking was all about. That bottom pic you can almost see a V8 Ford Falcon Interceptor in the background 8-)
