Post by ian65 »

Can some one id these for me please?
The ones on the left are out of a late series 3 12a but what are the ones on the right out of... I'm thinking earlier RX7?

Pics aren't great.

Top left is S3 cos I can see the R and N in the bathtub. I presume the second set are S1/S2 cos I can't make out an N in the bathtub.

S3 has F and N or R and N. S2 and earlier only has F or R. Really early is symmetrical and it doesn't matter which way round they go.

For the record:

F = front
R = rear
N = NA
T = turbo (if you're that lucky)

I thought my photos were pretty good! :( :( :(
I take it that the lighter s3 rotors are the way to go are they or is there any advantage to using the earlier heavier rotors?

iPhone so small screen sorry lol

Nope, S3 are the best. You'll need to use the matching S3 front and rear weights as always.

Which means the larger flywheel and clutch if you don't have an Auto counterweight and lightweight flywheel.
