When I had the rally car upside down (Yes I did !) I plated the chassis rails front and rear with 300mm long 3mm plate all round the chassis rail to spread the load and so that i can jack or use axle stands on the chassis rail, but i prefer the diff for the rear and and front engine crossmember at the front for jacking with a trolley jack, with axle stands of course.
