Or "Chandal" if you're from the islands!
The brakes were horrible to do! I think when its time to do the rears, I'll just walk them over to Bigg Red aye haha.

Re: A Kiwis Series 3
Had a good time the other day at RR. Had a few problems along the way though! Clutch is being pretty sketchy so I ordered a new master & slave, hopefully they sort that out. The car was getting pretty hot when we were making our way into the fields also, so I got Steve to park up for me
.
Found out when we got back to mine that the radiator had no pressure in the system. I think it may have something to do with this guy being cross threaded.

Anyone else got ideas? Could see some water on the underside of my bonnet, above the coolant level sensor and expansion bottle. I've ordered a few parts from Mazda to hopefully sort this out also. Anyone have any suggestions what I should do about the cross threaded coolant level sensor? Thread tape a new one in/block it off or something? Or will I need to send it away/get a new radiator?
Thanks Adam for the radiator hoses I grabbed the other day, looks like I'll be installing them sooner than expected!

Re: A Kiwis Series 3
those plastic level sensors are very easy to cross thread....... I'd say that it the first thing that you need to sort out to make sure it's watertight...... the threads in the rad should be ok, it's usually the plastic that cross threads................. is your fan ok?Hobbawobba wrote:Had a good time the other day at RR. Ah sweet. Lets hope its the sensor that's messed up. I'll keep it in there for now, until a new one arrives. Water is leaking from it. The fan has been fine in the past, but Steve said the other day it doesn't feel very viscous like. I am looking to upgrade to an e-fan asap also. $$$

Coolant level sensor doesn't want to come out! Even had some mole grips on it (pull and turn) and it wont have any of it

Re: A Kiwis Series 3
Plastic is stripped then. Find a fork shaped piece of metal or make one, to push into the join and give upwards leverage whilst you turn.
